What is MENS & How Does it Work

Written by Bronwyn Gibson

No Office, No Pharmacy, No Problem

Imagine skipping the doctor’s office and traditional pharmacy visit to get this year’s round of prescriptions – sounds too good to be true, right? Wrong. With MENS, certain medications such as Finasteride, Viagra, and Cialis are prescribed and delivered right to your door.

Some may wonder how this is possible, if the medications are authentic and the prescriptions legitimate, and why information such as identification is required. These are all common and valid questions, especially when the idea of subscription medicine is new to so many. Rest assured, by following state laws and regulations, MENS makes it possible.

Technology Behind MENS

From cell-phones to self-parking cars, technological advancements and capabilities have changed the way many people live their lives, with products and services often being readily available. Medicine is not immune to the effects of modern technology and is many times at its forefront.

Looking at the platform of telemedicine, a specific branch of telehealth, it is simply defined as the remote diagnosis of patients by means of telecommunications technology. Telemedicine effectively makes it possible for a patient and a physician to communicate via technology, specifically by phone, video chat, or questionnaire software to properly diagnose and treat a patient, even from the comfort of their home.

Seeing the value and convenience telemedicine has brought to many, MENS applied this platform to our vision of subscription medicine, allowing our patients to be reviewed, diagnosed, and treated while receiving their medication for a lower price with complimentary shipping.

Your MENS Visit

Telemedicine laws differ from state-to-state, which is why MENS may not be available to your state at this time. However, to better understand how MENS is even possible, let’s look at the steps taken between your very first click on mens.com and coming home to a shiny, new package on your doormat.

Your Online Visit

Before any treatment can begin or medication prescribed, one of our physicians must first review your reported symptoms and medical history through our online questionnaire software, commonly referred to as an online visit.

Each online visit is convenient, but thorough and is reviewed by only U.S. licensed physicians who are specifically licensed in your state. If our MENS physicians need any additional information regarding your health history, they may follow-up with other questions or ask to consult your primary care physician.

If your designated MENS physician believes one of our medications is an applicable treatment option for you, a prescription will be written and filled through our subscription service by our licensed pharmacy, located in the state of Washington.

As an online pharmacy, MENS is certified through LegitScript, an authentication and credentials company based out of Portland, Oregon. Because MENS is licensed similarly to any in-person pharmacy, we are required by law to verify the identity of the individual receiving medication through information including valid photo identification, birth-date, and address.

Subscription & Delivery

If treatment through one of our medications cannot be approved or recommended to a patient, no charge will ever be placed. If a prescription has been approved and written for a patient, the subscription service will be initiated based on your personalized treatment plan and payment method collected.

Although we do not recommend any treatment being stopped without first consulting your physician, the MENS subscription service may be discontinued at any time.

All MENS prescription medications are sourced directly from licensed U.S. distributors and manufacturers and will be placed in discrete packaging, delivered directly to the address provided with complimentary shipping included.

Ongoing Care

As with any treatment through medication, all symptoms, questions and concerns can and should be discussed with your physician. Because we recognize the importance of this, we offer unlimited follow-ups between patients and our MENS physicians to provide you efficient, ongoing care.

Going to the doctor to discuss anything from a mole on your chest to severe chest pain is important, and we’re never going to tell you otherwise.
